How It Works.
Donating leftover food
from sets has never been easier.
You give us the call sheet; we'll do the rest!
We work seamlessly with each production and donor to arrange a stealthy, no-fuss pickup of your excess meals. Rescuing food 24/7, we cover an estimated 90-mile area of outreach daily reallocating breakfast, lunch, even 3rd meal! While we can usually accommodate a last minute food run- we kindly ask for 24 notice of your film production or event. We travel with each production daily and can accommodate events both large and small- lasting one day or months at a time. Don't let your gourmet food go to waste, join us in saving food from landfills while fighting food insecurity!
WHY US?
We speak your language. Every Day Action (EDA) is founded and run by career ADs, UPMs, and Producers fluent in "Production." We understand callsheets, one-liners, shooting schedules, mapthisout.com, movie magic, and production reports - making the process of coordinating food collection swift, safe, and seamless.
We protect you. Our liability waiver ensures that EDA assumes 100% liability for all food collections and drops.
We put safety first. Our driver’s come prepared to combat food insecurity as safely as possible. Wearing brightly colored vests with safety alarms- all of our drivers are provided gloves and professional grade food transportation supplies. Additionally, our driver’s complete the Servsafe Food Handler course for California and on site training with our team.
We got you covered. EDA collects food around the clock 24/7. Our insulated thermal bags keep food fresh as we deliver to encampments, community fridges, shelters, missions, orphanages, and food pantries as close to your production as possible. This way, we all give back to the communities affected during filming.
We help you go green. Not only are you helping to feed people with food otherwise destined for the dumpster, you’re reducing landfills and minimizing your production’s carbon footprint.
We help each other. We are a donation-based service that operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; the bulk of your generous tax-deductible contribution goes to fund our Film Industry Driver Program, providing income opportunities to perhaps the most underpaid, hard working, employees of the film industry - our local Production Assistants and Background Actors - when they’re between gigs.
Together can make a huge difference in the lives of LA's most vulnerable.
